Legion (patch 7.3.5) is the most recent expansion with a settled private server scene. There are not many realms, but several have run for years, and a handful are built specifically for playing alone.
Everything below is in our tracker. As always, check the card for the current state.
The biggest
- uWoW - a Legion 7.3.5 network running since 2009, which makes it the longest-lived Legion server we track, and the surviving half of the old ArgusWoW operation after ArgusWoW itself closed in 2022. Its own counter read about 3,600 online at our September 29 2026 check.
Spanish and Portuguese
- UwowSA - a Spanish and Portuguese x5 realm launched in June 2026, with custom bosses, allied races (Haranir, Mag'har, Iron Dwarves, Zandalari, Kul Tirans and Vulpera), a hardcore mode and timewalking. Solid pick if you want a non-English Legion community.
- Tauri - a PvE Legion realm, the same operator name behind other well-regarded cores.
Solo and smaller
- LegionPlus - Legion with fated raids, custom bosses, hardcore, allied races and timewalking, aimed at players who want the content faster.
- Hellgarve - a 7.3.5 solocraft realm (Stormrage) with working artifact questlines, x1 to x3 rates plus double-XP weekends, optional hardcore and a prepared client so no realmlist edit is needed.
- Felsong - a Legion realm launched in spring 2025.
- WowMythic - a 7.3.5 project with timed Mythic+ dungeons, PvE ladders, a spectator mode and solo queue. Note the caveat: its site reported zero online and its newest news posts date to 2024, so it reads as dormant even though it is still listed.
In development
- Azeron - a Legion 7.3.5 closed beta since September 13 2026, with x10 experience and x5 drops, full 7.3.5 content (Argus, Antorus, Tomb of Sargeras, artifacts), EN and RU, and a wipe planned before release. Not open yet.
What's gone
ArgusWoW closed on May 15 2022, four years before our check. It was a Legion 7.3.5 network on dedicated German hardware with multiple rate realms and five raid tiers, operated by the same people as uWoW, which absorbed its community.
How to choose
For a large, long-running Legion realm, uWoW is the default. For Spanish or Portuguese, UwowSA. For playing alone or with one friend, Hellgarve and LegionPlus are the two built for it. And if you want to see it before release, Azeron's closed beta is the newest thing on the horizon. The launch calendar tracks the projects still to open.
Picks by expansion: WotLK, TBC, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Vanilla, and Vanilla+.
