Blizzard published Forever's PvP progression on October 7: a two-currency system designed around the original Honor ranks with the sharpest edges filed down.

Honor and Rank Points

Honor is earned from kills, battlegrounds, PvP quests, with boosted gains in holiday-week battlegrounds. Blizzard reviewed gains across maps so rates are consistent, explicitly so players stop picking Alterac Valley solely for Honor efficiency.

Rank Points come from the same activities with holiday boosts, advancing through the original ranks to High Warlord and Grand Marshal. Ranks carry a weekly cap, keeping the original structure while making the climb more accessible.

Two gear sets

Honor buys a blue set and an epic set, with the epic requiring the blue first. That gating is the familiar pattern; what is new is that both are reachable through the same currency rather than split across systems.

The design sentence worth keeping

"Approachable and Familiar" is the post's stated pillar: simplify the Honor System while staying true to its roots. Every change in the post cashes that out the same way, keep the names and the shape, remove the parts that punished casual participation.

Whether weekly caps plus consistent gains actually produce participation across all maps rather than a new efficient pick is untestable from a design post. It is the question to carry into the beta reports.
