September 15, 2026 — Emberveil published its one-month report: since the realm opened on August 15, the team has closed more than 340 bug reports, pushed the client through 97 revisions (release 2237 to 2334, every one carrying crash fixes), and shipped 15 client patches. The report also clocks nine hours of DDoS it weathered in month one.
Full 1.12 mechanics, phases pulled back
The biggest structural fix is a progression rework. The team says its phased system was gating more content than it should have — quests, creatures and items that were meant to be live were "quietly held back," producing a long tail of unrelated-looking bug reports. The server now runs full 1.12 mechanics, and phases only gate what should be phased: raids, world bosses and world events.
Group play landed
The Dungeon Finder and Group Browser both went live this month and survived their first round of fixes. The report highlights a family of bugs that turned out to be nineteen-year-old 1.12 client and server-core issues that nobody had looked at directly before, now fixed.
Addon ecosystem scaffolding is done
The Lua API documentation went live August 19 and the addon directory opened August 20 — both covered last month. The launcher grew an Addons Manager and is now at 1.9.6, and close to twenty new API functions landed in the client.
Mobile: closed beta, invites still not sent
The Android story from September 5 holds: the full client runs on a phone — combat, questing, chat, proximity voice and the auction house — but it is a closed beta on a realm of its own, not a release and not on the live realm. Signups are open; invites have not started going out yet. The first wave will stay deliberately small. Nothing carried from the test realm carries back.
What's next
Emberveil lists three next items: the first wave of mobile invites, the content the phases actually gate (raids, world bosses, world events, on their own schedule), and more client patches — "there were fifteen in the first month, and we are not planning to slow down."
Emberveil remains a non-commercial UE5 restoration project. We're keeping it playable in the tracker with the one-month status rolled into its details.
