Unreal Azeroth launches a from-scratch UE5 client
Client Modding
Unreal Azeroth is a completely custom World of Warcraft client written from scratch in Unreal Engine 5. It is not a mod, a reshade, or an emulator patch, but a brand-new client built with proprietary in-house tooling that still speaks to 20-year-old vanilla-era servers.
Following a closed beta, the client launched in Legacy Mode in August 2026, with the full UE5 Modern Mode, an Android build, and native VR support on the roadmap. Its in-built anti-cheat and extended engine limits (larger quest logs, ultrawide, action queueing) mark it as the first large-scale from-scratch recreation of classic Azeroth in a modern engine.
