Buying a gift for a World of Warcraft player is hard, because the hobby is enormous, the taste is specific, and the person who loves it already owns the four things they actually use. This guide is organised by what the gift is actually for, with the price we saw on 22 October 2026 next to each one, so you can buy in a tier that fits.
One thing first: our Black Friday plan says we will publish a full price pass on 27 November, when the discounts are real. Everything here is today's honest price, not a forecast.
If they read lore, and you want them to read more
The World of Warcraft Chronicle Ultimate Collection, volumes one to four was about $27 on 22 October and rated 4.2 across 4,491 ratings, and it is the single best value on this page for anybody who reads about the lore. The four volumes are the closest thing Blizzard has published to a history of Azeroth, and the box set costs less than one of the individual books we saw at $27 to $50.
For the visual half of the same thing, The Cinematic Art of World of Warcraft, Volume I was about $14 and rated 4.6 across 1,193 ratings.
If they want novels rather than history, our books and lore reading guide goes through the whole shelf in order, and it is the one page on this site we would ask a reader to send to a friend.
If they listen to it
The World of Warcraft 20 Years of Music was about $69 on 22 October, and it is the record that spans the whole thing, from vanilla to Midnight. The Wrath of the Lich King soundtrack was about $78 and rated 4.9, and it is the one most people in this scene would pick if you made them choose, because Wrath is the expansion the private server scene was built on.
On vinyl, the Wrath of the Lich King original soundtrack on blue splatter was about $78 and rated 4.9, and the Classic original soundtrack on 8-bit Ragnaros red vinyl was about $190 and rated 4.8, which is a display piece as much as a record.
And the newest Warcraft score is not on a record at all. Blizzard released the Forever soundtrack in October, nineteen tracks, and it is on the streaming services. If they like music, that one is free and it is the freshest thing in the game.
If they sit at a desk for six hours
The Blizzard WoW themed symbol XXL mouse pad was about $22 on 22 October and rated 4.9, and it is the most reviewed item on this page, which tells you how many people use their keyboard and mouse on one of them. The Lich King XXL mouse pad was about $29 and rated 4.8, for the desk of somebody whose server of choice is a Wrath realm.
For the seat itself, our ergonomics guide covers the chair and the monitor arm, and the launch kit guide covers the mouse and the screen. A chair is the most expensive gift on this page and the one most likely to be used every single day.
If they are proud of it
The Alliance crest metallic hoodie was about $40 on 22 October and rated 4.6, and it is the single most useful thing on this list for a roleplay server, where what you are wearing is half your character. There is a Horde version at the same price.
The Sure Right After This Raid mug was about $16 and rated 5.0 across 5,746 ratings, which is the highest rated object on this page, and the joke lands exactly once, which is enough.
The World of Warcraft Shadowlands puzzle was about $30 and rated 4.7, which is the gift for somebody who plays with their brain as well as their hands.
Tiers, if you are buying for a birthday
Under $25. The raid mug at about $16, or the art book at about $14, either of which is a good gift for somebody who has everything else.
$25 to $60. The Chronicle box set at about $27, the mouse pad at about $22, the puzzle at about $30, the hoodie at about $40.
$60 and up. The 20 Years of Music record at about $69, the Wrath soundtrack at about $78, the vinyl at about $190, or the chair from the ergonomics guide.
When the right gift is nothing
Two cases, and they are the common ones.
If they are the person who already has a headset, a good mouse, a decent chair and the books, then another object is a worse gift than the thing nobody thinks to give: time. Buy them game time on the game they play, which for a private server player means supporting the realm they are on, or for a retail player means the subscription. Our shop page has the physical end of it, and the honest truth is that the best gift for a dedicated player is the one that makes their existing setup better, and often that is not a purchase at all.
If you do not know what they play, ask. A WoW player who gets a WoW gift they already own is a slightly worse outcome than a WoW player who gets a gift they will use, and the difference is one question.

Prices here were read on 22 October 2026 and they are not live quotes. We will recheck the whole list on 27 November, when the sales are actually on, and the prices then will be the ones worth buying at.
