Frostmourne Launches: 8,500 Peak, the Biggest WotLK Opening of 2026

Private Servers

Whitemane's WotLK+ realm Frostmourne launched with more than 8,500 players online at peak: Heroic Naxxramas rework, Personal Loot, account-wide Collections, refreshed client. A large-scale DDoS attack took all services down for the first 30 minutes before mitigation; the realm has held stable since.

The opening sets the private-scene bar for late 2026: a remaster-style WotLK+ with original raid arcs roadmapped (Scourging of Karazhan, Echoes of the Sunwell, Fall of the Sunwell) competing directly against Blizzard's own Forever beta running in the same month.
