CONFIRMED OPERATING as of September 29 2026, and we corrected ourselves on this. This morning we published this entry as an unverified liveness claim and called it the biggest hole in our own data, on the evidence that the news block carried 2026 dates over Onyxia-phase content and that /register and /armory return Not Found. That reasoning was incomplete: the missing pages prove nothing about whether the server runs, and the news block is simply a stale archive that never got pruned. Resolved in a real browser: the forum at forum.warmane.com is fully rendered, carries four realm boards (Onyxia progressive, Lordaeron, Icecrown, Blackrock), and has a post from ONE HOUR before we read it, with threads active at 1 day and 1 week old. The site also publishes a devlog and a 320-line changelog with dated bug-report numbers, and a devlog entry about changing the Wintergrasp queue to stop multiboxers taking multiple of the 120 spots, and another adding Ring of Valor to rated arena. Runs four WotLK realms plus TBC on Onyxia. CORRECTION Sep 29: the earlier claim that liveness was unverifiable is struck through; the server is live and the 2026 dates on old content are a stale-archive artifact, not evidence of a dead project. Separately, and to its credit, its 3.3.5a client is still redistributed by other live servers: Frozen Throne offers it as a supported second option with infohash 5B65D1928A3025A820B45E6DB2451AAAABC5347C and warns you must change the realmlist. See /blog/the-client-you-did-not-build/. UPDATED Oct 18 2026: its own front page now leads with a future date, reading that Onyxia's next phase of content including The Ruby Sanctum will be released on November 7 at 14:00, so the phase block we called a stale archive on September 29 is in fact maintained rather than abandoned. The same block lists the completed Onyxia phases in order: Naxxramas with the Eye of the Eternity and the Obsidian Sanctum, then Ulduar, then Call of the Crusade, then Icecrown Citadel
