Lighthaven Playable

Educational open-source AzerothCore WotLK 3.3.5a, non-profit no shop: strict x1 defaults with opt-in personal rates (.rate per-character drop/gold/reputation/skill caps), Adventure Assistant companion NPC, AI chat moderation, PlayerBots (census ~6 human + 2004 bots). REFRESHED Oct 18 2026 from its own pages: the site self-describes as an educational, open-source, non-profit realm that spans strict Blizzlike at one end and a fully customized overpowered character at the other, with every customization opt-in, no shop and no microtransactions, realmlist set realmlist lighthaven.quest, game version 3.3.5a (12340) and server type general-purpose. Its capture page reads Lighthaven online 3 players and 2000 bots connected, with 2,594 human characters on record, a Humans or Bots switch, and a daily concurrent peak for humans sampled by a database trigger on every human login. It also runs an AoWoW database at aowow.lighthaven.quest and publishes its source on GitLab at gitlab.tartampluch.com. Band stays tiny on the 3 human players online, and the figure is self-reported rather than counted by us. REFRESHED Oct 20 2026: the realm now also runs in a browser. The operator announced browser play on October 19 2026 on r/wowservers alongside an account-wide Master Banker with no slot limit, dungeon and raid entrance teleports, and instant flights, and the site's own changelog for 19 to 25 October 2026 documents the browser client in detail: it fetches game files in pieces, about 60 MB before character selection instead of 186 MB and about 130 MB in the world instead of 450 MB on a first visit, reads several files at once on arrival and draws portraits faster. The browser game starts on phones and tablets held sideways with a movement stick, buttons for jump, target, run and sit, tap as click, long press as right click, drag to turn and two fingers to zoom, with fullscreen available from the game menu, and the changelog admits the game's own buttons are still small on a phone with larger action bars planned. The site keeps a sign-in key for 12 hours, stored in the session encrypted with XChaCha20-Poly1305 and bound to the account id, username, salt and expiry, and logout is a CSRF protected form submission so a third party page cannot sign a player out. The same account works in the browser and the desktop client. Census at this read showed 2,644 human characters, 2 in game now from the map panel and a header reading Lighthaven online 3 players and 2000 bots connected, so the band stays tiny at 3
