September 22, 2026: a retraction worth recording. Per classicwowforever's Sep-22 series, Wowhead withdrew its claimed XP reduction after Blizzard clarified the comparison: required XP values match Classic, and the retained table is retracted material.

The careful part, which the series states explicitly: matching required values does not establish identical leveling time. Dungeon-quest weighting, new zones, rested mechanics and mob density all move the clock independently of the XP table. The retraction kills a claim, not the question.

Filed as a correction story because those are load-bearing: every leveling guide downstream of the retracted table needs re-derivation, and the tracker's own dungeon-XP coverage (first-run weighting) never depended on it.
