TBC5Legends has published dates for Tier 6. Both gates open at 18:00 CEST on a Saturday, one week apart:
- Mount Hyjal: Saturday 17 October 2026, 18:00 CEST.
- Black Temple: Saturday 24 October 2026, 18:00 CEST.
The site runs both countdowns in the visitor's own timezone. This is the first dated Tier 6 schedule the project has given, and it puts the top of Outland two and a half months after the realm went live on July 18.
The two notable changes in the same window
The September 21 and 22 updates also landed the fourth Shaman specialization, Way of Earth, a tank spec backported from Season of Discovery, plus 14 new Ancestral Runes.
The Shaman tank change is worth a specific note. The Way of Earth rune originally required a shield and Rockbiter Weapon, and because Rockbiter is a temporary weapon enchant, expiring it dropped the whole package, plate proficiency included. Players were being stripped of half their gear mid-fight. The requirement was removed the same day, so armor no longer depends on a buff that runs out.
World bosses were also switched off in the same update: The Tempest (Tier 5) and Champion of the Old World (Tier 4) no longer spawn. The project states that nothing was deleted, their loot, models and history are untouched, and they can be switched back on without a restart.
