As of today every live entry on this tracker has been checked within the window: 0 entries dated before September, 0 never dated, against 24 and 6 respectively this morning.

Seventeen entries were worked. Eleven dated, six never dated. Three were corrected downward, eight re-verified unchanged, and six dev entries got the first date they have ever carried.

Sirus reads 18,468, the largest single-site counter we hold

Our entry said 6 to 13k online. The site's own counter read 18,468 on October 3.

That is the largest single-project figure in our data. The next biggest number anywhere is WoW Circle's 22,558, which is a thirteen-realm total rather than one site's count.

The caveat runs the other way and we are recording it: the site's news feed is entirely 2017 to 2018. Zul'Aman, Icecrown Citadel, rated battlegrounds, arena seasons, all eight years old. A live counter beside a dormant devlog is the same shape as the ArgusWoW trap in reverse, and we are not going to pretend the figure is verified just because it is large. It is the operator's widget, self-reported like all such counters, and it is dated today.

The page also names its operators as registered Kyrgyz companies in Bishkek, the same city as Moonwell's operator but a different entity. Two of the largest projects we track are companies in the same city, which is a fact about this scene worth knowing and not a claim about either of them.

GryffinWow's domain is for sale

A fresh Vanilla x1 progressive realm launched April 2025, previously rated tiny on an estimated 0-10 population. Its domain now serves a parking page: "Find information, resources and relevant links for gryffinwow.com. This domain may be for sale", with terms links and a click-to-inquire prompt.

That is a lapsed registration, not a server page. Not marked dead, because a lapsed domain is evidence of no website and not of a shutdown, which is the same policy that has now carried six such entries this week. Downgraded to unknown.

Classic Plus and Elwynnkeep join the unverifiable list

Classic Plus - Ashbringer cannot be reached at all. Its subdomain does not resolve, and the root domain serves a GoDaddy for-sale parking page, so the domain itself appears to have lapsed rather than the server merely being down. Downgraded to unknown.

Elwynnkeep is the same shape with more thorough probing: five candidate domains (www .com, .org, .net, elwynn-keep.com, .gg), none resolve. Downgraded to unknown.

Both keep playable, because a project without a website is not a closed project, and both carry the SoD and blizzlike descriptions last confirmed on August 30.

Two more tags from the August sweep

Revelation WoW and Anarchy 2.0 both carried Vanilla+ tags. Git history shows both tags were assigned by the 25 August PopTier sweep, the same commit that gave Epsilon its unfounded Vanilla+ tag, which we cleared on September 30 after reading the site.

Same evidence class, same correction: both tags cleared to blank, with the provenance recorded in the entry. We have no site for either project, so unlike Epsilon we cannot replace the tag with a sourced one. Blank is the honest value.

The other four never-dated dev entries, Azeroth at War, Hour of Twilight, Prophecy: Fall of Lordaeron and Warsworn, keep their tags for lack of evidence either way. Their tags do not have the same documented bad provenance, and clearing a tag without evidence would be the same class of edit we are correcting.

Re-verified unchanged

Eight entries were read, found accurate, and re-stamped rather than corrected: WoW Circle (22,558 online, 13 realms now enumerated), Back2Basics (Arena Season 4 and the realmlist confirmed), Adventure WoW (the double-talent feature list verbatim), HellscreamWoW (now noting it is a self-described private alpha), Origins WoW Asia (Online, with Patch 1.7 dated 1 September), Titans League (active development, RTG news 31 July), Dalaran-WoW (503 maintenance page, which is an operator-configured message and therefore evidence of administration), and the rest.

The queue metric going forward is entries verified within N days, not entries changed. Unchanged entries get dated too, because a sweep that only records changes is an edit log.

SOURCES: Sirus's own homepage and statistics page, WoW Circle's front page, GryffinWow's parking page, classic-plus.com's GoDaddy page, Dalaran-WoW's 503 response, and the remaining sites, all read October 3 2026 with a control domain probed in the same batch. The tag provenance is our own git history, commit 6d50f73 of 25 August 2026. Player counts are the operators' own widgets, self-reported. We did not create an account, did not play, and for two entries could not reach a website at all. Related: the Epsilon correction, the six downgrades, and how we review a private server.
