Five tracked servers made news this week — three shipping major content updates, one announcing its beta date, and one solo-focused realm stepping out of the shadows. All are live on the tracker now.
Project Legacy — Patch 1.12.4 on August 26
The independent Vanilla+ project ships Guild Banks (with deliberately low tab costs so new guilds aren't priced out), a fully scripted five-round Gadgetzan arena challenge for levels 45–50 with blue-quality rewards, and talent inspection. One honest cut: World Discoveries slips out of the patch — the system works, but hand-placing enough discoveries to fill Azeroth properly takes longer than planned, and the team refuses to ship copy-pasted filler. The right call for a server whose brand is "worth finding." → Project Legacy
Project Astral — open beta September 4
After a packed Alpha 2 test, the PvE progression server confirmed its beta launch with full raid flow from Molten Core to Ruby Sanctum. The reworked Astraltree hits 1,300 percentage-based nodes, gear gains randomized bonus rolls (up to 12 variants per item), and 130+ Astralgems enable builds like spell-power rogues or healing warlocks. Raids are tuned for six-player groups. → Project Astral
Triumvirate-WoW — Phase 2 August 22
The lvl-60 endgame server's biggest phase lands tomorrow at 18:00: Icecrown Citadel in Normal mode with flexible raid scaling (the Lich King's Val'kyr count adapts to raid size), Mythic+ Season 2 with a fresh dungeon pool and vault tiers, permanent Artifact Weapon progression, and a Prestige system that resets level while keeping everything else. → Triumvirate-WoW
Maelstrom (Millenium-Servers) — Phase 5 live
The progressive international WotLK realm launched its fifth phase today, with selectable XP rates up to x3 during leveling, phased content releases, and the level-60 cap unlocking August 29. Molten Core follows within three to six weeks. Now tracked. → Maelstrom
Warstorm — the solo WotLK option matures
Running quietly since September 2025 with around 200 players online, Warstorm is a blizzlike-stats solo server whose AI PlayerBots know boss mechanics well enough to clear ICC25 Heroic unattended. Dungeon finder integration, adjustable 1–5x XP, and a proprietary bot-control addon round it out. Now tracked alongside its playerbot peers. → Warstorm
The takeaway
August's quiet week before BlizzCon is anything but on the private side: guild infrastructure, scripted world content, artifact systems and AI raids all shipped within days of each other. Whatever Camelot turns out to be, the scene isn't waiting around.
