Blizzard's "Hotfixes: October 6, 2026" covers Midnight, Mists of Pandaria Classic, Season of Discovery, Burning Crusade Classic, WoW Classic Era, and Hardcore. The word Forever appears zero times in its 115,000 characters.
That is the second consecutive hotfix post with the same six products and the same absence. The October 1 post established that Forever has no public hotfix channel; the October 6 post confirms it as a pattern rather than an omission.
The contrast that makes it news
On the same day those hotfixes published, Kaivax documented three beta fixes shipping through realm restarts: missing restocked quest items, elevator disconnects, guild join errors.
So fixes are shipping for both branches on the same day through two entirely separate channels: a public dated log for the six retail and classic products, and forum restart notices for the beta. A player who reads only the hotfix page would conclude nothing was fixed anywhere on October 6. A beta tester who reads only Kaivax would conclude the same about retail.
Neither channel references the other, and there is no page that lists both. That gap is now documented twice, which is enough to call it structural rather than incidental.
What is in the October 6 post, briefly
Death Knight Blightfall retuned to 100% of remaining plague damage (was 200%), Devourer Demon Hunter single-target buffs of 8 to 10%, Brewmaster durability adjustments. Developers' notes with prior values attached, which remains the auditable form a hotfix log should take.
Worth reading on its own terms. Just not for Forever information, which it does not contain by design.
