September 17, 2026 — MoP+ server Miststorm joined the tracker in closed alpha: a Mists of Pandaria Plus+ project whose pitch is blizzlike scripting on a 5.4.8 client with a custom Mythic+ system for dungeons and raids, solo-queue arenas and crossfaction battlegrounds. The server is not public yet — the how-to-play page's realmlist reads "not public yet" — so the listing is dev with population unknown.

TL;DR

Miststorm: MoP+ announced April 6 ("The Mist Is Rising"), currently closed alpha per its own announcement. Custom systems: Mythic+ dungeons/raids, solo-queue arenas, crossfaction BGs, reputation boosts, accelerated 1-90 leveling. Discord-first community, free-to-play, no monetization model stated. Not playable yet.

What it is

A Pandaria project built around the "underserved MoP" argument: blizzlike-scripted dungeons, raids, battlegrounds and arenas, with chosen QoL and custom systems layered on top. The showcase feature is the Mythic+ system "inspired by retail, tailored for MoP content" — applied to dungeons and raids. Solo-queue arenas remove the partner requirement for rated PvP; crossfaction battlegrounds target queue times. Leveling runs 1-90 accelerated, with reputation boosts cutting the grind.

The project has been public since April 6 per its news post, and the stance is build-in-the-open: closed-alpha community, beta keys promised to active members first, launch later.

Why listed

The MoP+ corner of the scene is thin, and Miststorm's system list is concrete rather than vibes — Mythic+, solo arenas, crossfaction BGs. It earns a dev slot for the design; population stays unknown until the realm actually opens. Watch whether closed alpha becomes closed beta and whether the realmlist goes public.
