Blizzard Watch Sep 3 (Elizabeth Harper): Liquid started the day behind — Echo best 3.68%, Liquid best 32%. GM Maximum said he thought they lose this one. Then a venom-pool cheese (stand in venom, dodge waves by pathing) got nerfed mid-race by Blizzard, no penalty for past kills. Liquid went 15.59% to dead in four pulls. Echo answered half hour later.
Why it matters here
AWC/MDI finals hit the same BlizzCon stage Sep 12-13. Race ending early clears the runway. One line on tuning: nerfs all race long, mid-race mechanic kill included. Developers listen — Classic+ crowd takes notes. One post, no race blog. Method owns that turf.
