September 23, 2026: Freedom WoW is now verified and consolidated in the tracker. It was already present under the display variant FreedomWoW from the August 24 listing, so the old label is preserved in the server note rather than counted as a second realm. First-party verification confirms one playable Ukrainian WotLK project.
The numbers first, because they are the reason it clears the bar. The site shows 531 online at check time, a ~7,500-member Discord (per Nostalgic.gg), and a patch note dated August 28. That is a populated realm with an active development loop, not a directory entry.
What makes it different from most of the WotLK servers we track: smart cross-faction. Groups, trade, auction house and chat are cross-faction, but healing and buffs are instance-only, and portals or summons into hostile capitals are blocked. The stated design goal is factions playing together without letting world PvE be abused. That is a different answer to the cross-faction question than the usual blanket yes or no, and it is the most interesting thing on the page.
The PvP side is unusually specified for a volunteer project: arena season 8 with a wider matchmaking range, arena location hidden during rated matches to stop sniping, anti-multibox moderation for rated play, an arena spectator with anti-dodging rules, cross-faction battlegrounds and arena teams, and Battle for Wintergrasp at up to 120 players per team. Balance is explicitly original 3.3, with quality-of-life only: no custom stat items, no spec rewrites.
Filed as medium population, not large. 531 concurrent is comfortably populated with regular dungeon and raid formation, which is the medium definition, and we do not promote a server into large on a toplist's word.
One caveat: the "biggest Ukrainian private server" claim comes from Warperia, and this is the largest Ukrainian realm we have verified with a live site, so the claim holds by our own book. The Amdir and other Ukrainian servers Warperia lists we could not verify to a first-party site, so they stay off the tracker.
