September 13, 2026 — Captures from the September 12 Forever pre-release build are surfacing the mechanical detail behind Blizzard's "new race and class combinations" line. The fan reference classicwowforever.com has transcribed Skyborne racials, a stack of new and redesigned racials for the original races, and the full class matrix. It is all pre-release data from a BlizzCon demo build, not a launch guarantee.

TL;DR

The class matrix

The captured matrix lines up with Blizzard's panel language about "covering gaps where they exist." Blizzard's Deep Dive recap independently confirms the Skyborne roster: Horde-aligned Skyborne gain Shaman access, Alliance-aligned Skyborne gain Mage access, and both factions can play Warrior, Hunter, Rogue and Druid with race-specific druid forms. The pre-release captures (per classicwowforever.com) add the original-race combos below:

Race New in Forever (captured)
Orc Mage
Undead Paladin
Troll Warlock
Human Hunter
Gnome Priest (officially confirmed new; Classic Gnome could not be Priests)
Dwarf Shaman
Night Elf None flagged
Tauren None flagged

The Undead Paladin is the lore machine running in the background: it pairs with the Forsaken Kingdom campaign in the Warcraft Forever Collection. The panel recap confirmed that campaign follows "the first Forsaken Paladin," so the class-race gap closes from both the RTS and MMO sides at once.

Skyborne racials

Both Skyborne factions share three racials per capture: Walk on Air (glide down through the air for 10 seconds), Wind Blessed (1% Haste to melee, ranged and spellcasting) and Elemental Insight (5% more damage to Elementals). The fourth racial splits by faction:

The faction names themselves are a transcription from pre-release footage, flagged as unofficial on the Forever hub.

Original-race redesigns

A handful of captured changes matter more than the rest because they touch abilities every player knows:

Several Classic-only racials have no captured availability in Forever yet (Orc Command, Human Diplomacy, the weapon specializations), per the same reference. Pre-release values can change before the November 4 launch.

Where it comes from and what still needs checking

classicwowforever.com reads every tooltip against a recorded source - the announced build, a screenshot album, or a stream timestamp - and its methodology page is explicit about that. Coverage dates to the September 12 build, so the values above are from the same weekend as the reveal.

The main [NEEDS VERIFICATION] item is whether these captures reflect BlizzCon demo tuning or the September 17 beta client. The reference does not claim to be connected to the beta. Full race, class and Legacy tables live on the Forever hub.

Notes

Racial and combination data per classicwowforever.com's transcription of the September 12 pre-release build, cross-referenced with Blizzard's panel recap and the Forsaken Kingdom editor's notes. All values are pre-release and subject to change.
