Blizzard published "Your Leveling Journey Past 30 | World of Warcraft: Forever" on the official World of Warcraft channel on 19 October 2026 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. It runs six minutes and fifty four seconds and had passed 1,025,000 views when we read it. The description is one line: "Past 30, your WoW: Forever leveling adventure will send you through some of Azeroth's new areas like the Riverglades and Mount Hyjal."
It is the first detailed look at the second half of the leveling path, and it lands in a strange place: the beta's cap is level 30, so not one tester has been able to walk these zones. The video is the only way to see them until launch.
The Riverglades
The new zone sits on the eastern coast of the Eastern Kingdoms, and Blizzard's What’s Next panel already described the geography: between Redridge Mountains, the Burning Steppes, the Badlands and the Swamp of Sorrow, and roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale. The panel gave it a range of the mid-30s to the mid-40s, more than 150 new quests, new reputations and new rewards for both factions.
The video is mostly story, and the story is two old war factions that broke away.
Alliance meets the Brotherhood of the Horse, the elite knights of Stormwind who refused Turalyon’s march through the Dark Portal, stayed behind to hunt the Horde’s remnants, and ended up leaving Stormwind and the Alliance for good. They hold Farholde Keep.
Horde meets the Bolder'ok, an ogre clan that split away from the Twilight’s Hammer and now fights the humans of Farholde.
Both fight the Twilight’s Hammer, who hold Twilight’s Shroud and Krol’dok Stronghold, the new outdoor dungeon for levels 40 to 45. The video also shows the Bloodmasters’ Ring, a fighting arena in ogre territory where you face the clan’s best brawlers, and a new goblin port on the coast that expands the Eastern Kingdoms trade routes. That port is Powderfuse Port, which we have covered separately as the new end of a Tanaris shipping line.
Mount Hyjal, open again
The video treats Hyjal as the climax of the journey to 60. Malfurion Stormrage and the druids sealed the mountain five years ago, and in Forever "the road is open for the first time since the Third War". The What’s Next panel adds the route through Darkwhisper Gorge.
Inside, players work with the Druids of the Talon and the wider Cenarion Circle to heal the land after the Battle of Mount Hyjal, while a mixed Horde and Alliance camp inside the mountain lives under an uneasy agreement that is about to stop being uneasy now that the gates are open. The video also introduces the Curious Crow, who has found warlocks working for the Wild King and needs help.
The raid under the mountain
The video's closing beat is the Barrow Deeps, a new 10-player raid deep within Mount Hyjal, described as a prison that once held "Azeroth’s most infamous betrayer". Blizzard’s raid overview the next evening names the prisoner: Illidan Stormrage, held for 10,000 years, with eight bosses and entrances from Mount Hyjal, Winterspring and Blackmaw Hold.
So the mountain carries the two launch raids at once: Hyjal Summit, 20 players, 13 bosses, at the summit near Nordrassil, and the Barrow Deeps beneath it, 10 players, 8 bosses. Both unlock on December 9.
What we are not claiming
Fan sites have already cross-checked the video against client files, and their findings are useful but second hand. We are not repeating their boss lists, their map ids or their level tables as fact, because the video itself gives no zone levels, and Blizzard has published zone level ranges only for the Riverglades.
What the video does not contain is any class, spell or talent number. Every balance question it raises has to wait for a live client, and the beta's cap at 30 means there is no live client yet.
Why it matters for launch
This is the shape of the last six weeks of content. The path to 60 runs through two new zones and ends in two raids that open on the same December 9 date, which gives a month of leveling between launch and the first raid tier. Anyone planning a guild schedule in November is now working from a video, because that is all the information that exists.
