Blizzard's September 24 Forever beta development notes describe a new build with broad stability fixes, class tuning, interface experiments, and a refreshed known-issues list. The post is first-party and does not identify a new build number.
The player-facing fixes include a memory leak that caused gradual performance degradation, Mac water and display artifacts, caster pre-cast animations, Campfire restrictions, mail ignoring surnames, incorrect quest rewards, and several smaller bugs. A first talent reset now costs 1 silver during the beta; later resets cost more until an hour has passed.
Class changes are substantial. The notes list a roughly 50 percent increase to Druid Wrath base damage, the Feral rename from Mangle to Primal Bite, a 40 percent reduction to Hunter Furious Howl's Attack Power bonus, Paladin Holy Strike rank and cooldown changes, Fire Mage buff-duration increases, early Shaman spell changes, and Warrior adjustments. These are current beta values, not launch balance promises.
Blizzard also added a limited Cooldown Manager for Druid, Mage, Priest, Warrior, and Warlock. It is disabled by default, and spell-rank support is still pending. New gamepad options include class-specific flyouts, Compact Action Bar, party-targeting controls, and revised targeting modifiers.
The new known-issues list includes party-composition changes that can move players to another world instance, untracked pet cooldowns and item enhancements, a Stormwind minimap display problem, and missing combo-point information in the Personal Resource Display. The notes still do not announce a Server Slam date or a level-30 activation date.
