Felskorn is back. The custom server — Vanilla content rebuilt on WotLK 3.3.5a with level 60 gameplay — announced its relaunch on Sep 1 for a familiar world with a different path to power.
What it is
Felskorn takes the dungeons, raids and progression of Vanilla WoW and runs them on the WotLK 3.3.5a client with WotLK-based classes at level 60. From there it layers custom progression:
- Corruption and Corruption Powers — grow Corruption to unlock powerful bonuses and shape your character
- Random Enchants — 800 Common + 96 Unique, every looted item gets a random enchant tailored to class, role and item type
- Awakened Items — every item can Awaken (+2% stats, 6,800+ items supported), then upgrade up to four times, with Tier 1→2 upgrades via dungeon and raid materials
- Prestige — at 60, Prestige and begin again without losing accomplishments, gaining permanent account-wide benefits
Plus cross-faction, role selection for loot, transmog any armor type, instant flight paths, Death Knights tuned for Vanilla, account leveling with stat points, AoE looting, class QoL (longer buffs, AP scaling), solo and co-op scaling buff in dungeons, all items tradable, account-wide gold/mounts/titles, and played-time rewards.
Why it is on the tracker
Felskorn sits at the edge of Vanilla+ that our 108-server list is built to capture. It is not Turtle-derived, not VMaNGOS, not blizzlike — it is a WotLK-engine Vanilla with heavy custom progression, the same shape as Old Man Warcraft (per-char Vanilla→WotLK to tier 18) and Project Legacy (1,000 accounts, custom world boss) but on a different core and with a different economy (Random Enchants + Awakened).
The relaunch news on Sep 1 frames it as "mostly Blizzlike Vanilla with custom features that enhance without changing identity" — a pivot from an earlier, more tedious fully-custom direction the owner said he may not continue long-term. The current feature set (level 60 cap, Vanilla content only, Random Enchants, cross-faction, transmog, solo-friendly scaling) and the planned set (Awakening upgrades, Tier set upgrades, Spell Tomes, daily/weekly quests, custom world bosses and zone rares) are listed on the site.
Tracker entry
Felskorn is playable, Vanilla+, small (relaunch Sep 1, no public concurrent yet), site felskorn.com. It joins the Vanilla+ column that already has 18 entries — 8 playable, 7 in dev, 3 dead, 10 unknown — and the WotLK-engine Vanilla sub-cluster (Centurion Legionnaire+/Barracks+, Old Man, now Felskorn).
If you logged Felskorn before its hiatus, the gates are opening again — your Corruption is growing. How powerful will you become?
