Blizzard's Sep 1 "Is Nearly Here" and "Know Before You Go" posts locked the viewing plan for BlizzCon 2026 — September 12-13 in Anaheim, badge pickup from September 11 — and the drop window that goes with it.

How to watch without a badge

The Opening Ceremony and the main-stage panels will stream free on Blizzard's official YouTube and Twitch feeds. Day-one panels per Windows Central Sep 8 guide: Opening Ceremony 10:30am PT, WoW dev update noon, Overwatch dev update noon, Diablo dev update 1:45pm. Questwatch tabletop (Matthew Mercer) Sunday noon. Digital bundles run to Sep 28. The full venue is Anaheim Convention Center (800 W Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92802), with badge pickup from Sep 11. The programming schedule, viewership guide and floor map dropped alongside today's update, with the arena world championship, mythic dungeon international, the classic cup and the Saturday-evening community night and darkmoon faire also listed as on-site. Per the Sep 4 Weekly, the AWC and MDI Grand Finals return to the BlizzCon stage for the first time since 2019, with a combined $600,000 prize pool across Sep 12-13.

For Classic, the watch guide matters more than the floor map, because the Classic future reveal — the Project Camelot thread we track here, build 69638 on Sep 1 — is expected on the main stage, not in a hallway. If you are not in Anaheim, the free stream is the only stream that matters.

The drop window

"Get the Drop on New Rewards During BlizzCon 2026" — the other Sep 1 post — sets the window: watch any eligible World of Warcraft stream on Twitch or on the official World of Warcraft YouTube channel from September 12 at 9:30 AM PDT until September 13 at 7:00 PM PDT to claim a bucket of rewards.

The Sep 4 WoW Weekly extends and itemizes it. Twitch: Sep 12 17:30 BST through Sep 27 18:00 BST (17:30 BST = 09:30 PDT, matches the Sep 1 start; Sep 27 18:00 BST = 10:00 PDT). YouTube: Sep 12 17:30 PDT through Sep 14 03:00 PDT on the official Warcraft channel. The bucket is now itemized: 200 Trader's Tender, Cuddly Blue Grrgle housing decor, Fluffy Comfy Flying Quilt mount, Venomous champion's Illustrious Banner. Attending in person? Link your BlizzCon pass to Battle.net no later than Sep 18 — same linkage rule as remote, no retroactive grants for time watched while unlinked.

For private-server players who do not have an active retail sub, the same linkage rule applies. You need a Battle.net account with a WoW license of any kind to claim — Starter Edition is enough for most drop buckets — and the claim is per Battle.net account, not per server.

What to watch for, Classic-wise

Three things to have open alongside the stream:

Practical checklist

Before Sept 12 09:30 PDT:

During the window, mute is fine; drops track time watched, not chat activity. After the window, claim from the Twitch drops inventory or the YouTube claim flow before it expires.

That is the watch guide the tracker will use. We will be live-posting the Classic segment as it happens and updating the Classic+ tracker with whatever leaves the stage as fact rather than leak. Until then: build 69704, a floor map, and seven days.
