World of Warcraft

Classic Plus / Project Camelot. The worst-kept secret in WoW. Build 69698 tracked September 6. Blizzard website code showed Classic Plus armory additions in August. Two "What's Next" panels on Day 1 — this is where the reveal happens if it's coming. Corden says codenames "Camelot" (ancient Azeroth prequel) and "Warcraft Chronicles" (RTS roots) are both in play. Realm First! notes neither panel names Camelot as a player-facing product yet.

Midnight 12.1.5. On PTR now. "The Promise of Tomorrow" campaign, single-boss raid "The Unbinding of Kith'ix," Labyrinths, Aqir Invasion. Likely gets a release date on stage.

The Last Titan. Full rundown expected. Xal'atath arc conclusion.

StarCraft

Two projects, not one. Jason Schreier clarified that the Nexon-developed StarCraft game is separate from the Dan Hay-led Blizzard internal shooter. That means two concurrent StarCraft projects: (1) Blizzard's open-world co-op TPS led by Dan Hay (Far Cry), and (2) a Nexon deal that reportedly includes Overwatch mobile publishing rights.

The shooter. Corden saw test footage: Terran marines vs Zerg, open-world, cinematic campaign. Not Destiny-like MMO-lite (Schreier podcast). Crossplay with PlayStation confirmed in Corden's reporting. Hopes for co-op PvE like Helldivers 2 / Gears Siege.

The ARG. Day 3 (September 6-7) added sensor feed data — "6800_SOUTH MOTION DETECTED," 29 occupants registered. Story set in year 2575 on planet Roxara, an ancient Xel'Naga outpost at the Roxara Lunar Mining Complex. Confirmed created with AI, noted as less immersive than Project Blackstone 2013.

Blackbird Interactive rumored on classic RTS help. Single source (Corden), unconfirmed.

Overwatch

Biggest franchise now per Corden. New heroes incoming — D.Mon (Tank) confirmed for Season 4, two more this year: one omnic detective (shown in full), one staff-wielding (teased). Season 5 starts October 6.

Overwatch Rush entered soft launch in Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Correction: this is developed internally at Blizzard by a dedicated mobile team, not by a third-party studio.

LE SSERAFIM collab likely revealed at the Day 2 Art & Collaboration panel.

Netflix anime reportedly in production (Corden, months-old rumor).

Diablo

Diablo panel schedule. Developer Update (Sat 1:45 PM PT), Art of Darkness: Behind D4 Cinematics (Sat 4:15 PM PT, Legends Stage), Diablo IV: What's Next (Sun 11:00 AM PT), Diablo Immortal Live Artist Drawing with Todd McFarlane (Sun 10:00 AM PT, Immortal Stage), Voices of Blizzard (Sun 3:15 PM PT, simulcast). Johanna Faries leads Opening Ceremony.

Diablo 4 Season 15. Launching around September 15. Features include Soul Splinters, Rebirth mechanics, Challenge Dungeons. Map leak shows new western continent (Kingsport, Doom Craig). Amazon class heavily rumored as next class. Game Director Brent Gibson teased "they're gonna freak out at BlizzCon."

No new D4 expansion. Lord of Hatred launched April 28, 2026 (Paladin + Warlock, Skovos region). Resources moving to Diablo 5.

Diablo 5. Confirmed in development. Too early for a reveal — shorter tentpole gaps between installments is the new strategy.

D4 Switch 2. Age of Hatred Collection launches September 15 — base game + both expansions. $69.99. Physical release is code-in-a-box. Pre-orders open September 12 (BlizzCon Day 1).

D2 Warlock DLC. Rumored, not confirmed.

Diablo Immortal x Spawn. Image Comics' Spawn arrives September 29. Todd McFarlane appears at a Diablo Immortal panel on September 13.

Diablo TV show. Netflix or Amazon, reportedly in development. deadmau5 appearing at a Diablo panel may hint at transmedia announcements.

30th anniversary of the Diablo franchise in 2026.

Warcraft 3 / Classic

WC1/2 remakes or WC3 expansions remain on the prediction board (Corden). Blackbird Interactive link. No concrete evidence yet.

HotS

Revival signals. Classic Cup Legacy Match (Dignitas vs Gen.G, replicating 2018 HGC Finals) on Day 1. Free Fix It Gear Head Thrall skin. Corden reports multi-hero drop planned. Console port and Microsoft characters (Doom Slayer, Master Chief, Banjo) remain unconfirmed rumors — no new backing in the last 48 hours.

AWC + MDI Grand Finals. $600,000 combined prize pool. MDI Day 1: Dignitas vs Big Lucky, Liquid vs Mandatory. AWC Day 2: F Tier vs Guild Bean, Streamerzonegg vs One Lun Travel, Echo vs TBD, Gators Back vs TBD.

Hearthstone

Monk class rumored. World Championship group stage starts today (September 8-10). 16 players, $500,000 total prize pool, winner gets $100,000. Knockout stage at BlizzCon September 12-13. Choose Your Champion event live now.

Transmedia

BlizzCon Bundle

Rabbit'ath Void rabbit mount, Garb of the Dawnfire Phoenix transmog ensemble, Perch of the Dawnfire Phoenix housing item. Available through September 28 on Battle.net Shop.

What to watch for

The biggest question heading into Saturday is whether Blizzard leads with Classic Plus or saves it for a dedicated panel. The opening ceremony typically sets the tone — if Camelot gets a cinematic reveal, it signals Blizzard is confident the product is ready for public scrutiny. If it's relegated to a dev update, the timeline is likely further out.

The StarCraft dual-project revelation changes the calculus. Two concurrent projects means Blizzard is investing seriously in the franchise for the first time since Legacy of the Void in 2015. The ARG escalation on the shooter side suggests a playable demo or closed test announcement is possible.

HotS is the wildcard. The Classic Cup match is confirmed, but whether it's a farewell tour or a revival launch depends entirely on what happens on stage. Console port rumors remain unconfirmed — treat them as speculation until Blizzard says otherwise.

This preview will be updated as new information surfaces. Ceremony is Saturday at 10:30 AM PT per the official WoW guide (Diablo guide says 10:15 — tune in early). Check back for live coverage.
