A giant Diablo 2 leak lists Act VI, class reworks and an Enigma nerf. Sourcing is thin. Dev activity is real. Separate those before reacting.
TL;DR
- Leak claims: Act VI, Act 4 quests, Druid teleport-shifting, Hurricane combos, 80% Bear Crushing Blow, Hammer projectile-to-spiral, Vengeance rework, Enigma minus skills, Famine rework, Scabbard item type, human-faced bear.
- Provenance: alleged Warlock-leaker link UNCONFIRMED by Icy Veins themselves. Treat list as wishlist-grade.
- Real: two D2R builds hit Vendor 2 endpoint, D2 playable on BlizzCon floor, 30th anniversary year, Blizzard survey asked about new acts.
The list (unconfirmed)
Paladin: Blessed Hammer goes straight-then-spiral ("projectile to spiral" internally), Vengeance rework undecided. Druid: teleport in Werewolf/Werebear, Hurricane+Twister 200-degree fan, Hurricane+Tornado lightning field, Bear up to 80% Crushing Blow conditionally. Enigma loses +2 skills (teleport stays). Famine heavily reworked, numbers unfinished. Scabbard: new item type, possibly class-locked slot. Monsters: human-faced bear, giant fly, worm creature. Setting rumor: ancient Worldstone-builder civilization turned demon-allied.
What holds without the leak
Vendor 2 builds = active D2R development, no interpretation needed. Floor slot + 30th anniversary = stage time exists. Survey asked about new acts = Blizzard at least polls the idea. KR community (DC Inside) independently tracks the same datamine thread — same facts, second room. Precedent helps: D2R shipped Demonologist DLC Feb 12 (new class 25 years on, per Inven Sep 7) — new content in old D2 is established practice, not fantasy.
What doesn't hold
Leaker identity. Icy Veins investigated and could not confirm the Warlock-leaker link. Without provenance, the list reads as compiled community wishlist with datamine seasoning. Numbers unfinished even in the telling (Famine, Vengeance).
What's next
BlizzCon floor + stage. Playable D2 plus a panel mention confirms attention; Act VI card confirms content. Until then: rumor with real smoke around it.
